Massey 6480 issues.

Evening all
I recently bought myself a 2005 6480 dyna 6, I've got a few issues I'd like to ask your opinions on please

I have no 4wd braking, brake lights were coming on with handbrake and are now stuck on?? Both bulbs blown when I purchased which I changed, 4wd works on switch??

Difflock not working on switch I don't think??

Climate control doesn't seem to blow hot or cold just blows air at me??

Thanks lofty. Should have mentioned I don't believe she has the taps fitted / can't find them.
Also have checked all relevant fuses

If there taps not there try pinching the pipe with mole grips

Another issue I forgot to mention is sometimes when driving round yard mostly but did it in field on flat roll other week(flat rolling in 3d on a few revs) in range 3 going up through box and she either drops back a couple of gears and won't then go back up for a bit?

I seem to remember the temperature controller use to fail on our 6480. You will find this unit under a panel on the roof.
The gear change issue relates to the mode in which you have transmission set. There used to be a dial by which you set this. Its been a long time since I drove one so sorry I can't be more use than this.

Indeed does it have auto drive dial on the right hand console, you swap the driving modes may be worth googling this so you know what you want or put it in centre so it’s off. Can’t help on 4wd other than check switch is working for brake lights

justcre read you post something odd going on if brake lights come on with hand brake almost certainly linked to you issue with 4wd but the 4wd does engage with handbrake applied is yours going this ?

@Rob the log whereabouts are you? I've got a 6480, it's a great tractor but when I get the odd electrical issue I know a bloke with a van, all the software and an encyclopaedic knowledge of Masseys. David King put me in touch with him, he's based near Plymouth but will travel. Can PM you his number if you like... Good luck!

The dial was always in the middle, it seems to clear the fault if I turn the dial side to side then return to middle

probably seems like its getting ghost reading from it then, might be worth having a check of wiring around console to check for any obvious issues

Assuming you know how to use the autodrive, it is possible for the potentiometer in the dial to play up, we had to change the one in ours due to it changing on its own. When it’s changed you have to go through a calibration sequence to set it up.
