Massey 6480 linkage sensor

On my 2010 6480 I have an issue where the linkage is all over the place. If you lift the linkage up it will say it's always at say 90% but it will jolt up and down all over the place. It's the same if you put it down to work. The only way to keep it where you want it is to put the rocker switch in the middle.

Was going to take the linkage height sensor off but wondered if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to solve it.
Thanks
Frank

Dodgy rocker switch? Dodgy sensor? Too much sideways play in the top lift shaft which upsets the sensor? Poor earth? Dodgy linkage calculator? Faulty lower link sensing pin? Broken cable or poor connector?

Needs a laptop it you can't find anything obvious.

I have taken the sensor out and looks fine but may be broken inside. So I took the sensor of our other 6480 which is working fine but ran out of time to swap them and see if the issue is with the sensor or something else.
