Not long aquired a massey 698t. The pto is ridiculously close to the pickup hitch I'm now noticing. Anyone else find this a problem with hitching things up?

Only had one for 18 months. 1986-87. had to trade it in. too dangerous on steep banks, if the engine stopped for any reason you lost 4wd. and not enough gears, but otherwise a good tractor on flat ground never had a problem fitting a machine, PTO or hitch.

Thank we are on a flat farm here then. Yeah when the dung spreader or round baler is crooked up the pto touches the drawbar. Might have to look into some way of adjusting. Thanks

To be fair ours was only a problem on the slurry tanker.as it was on the hook things like the baler were on the drawbar so moved things further back giving more room

Yeah did think about putting the drawbar on to be fair. And it's not really a complaint, but thanks for reading . More to see if anyone had any useful input.
