Massey 7480 error code.

I did stop mine earlier and it took ages for it to restart. I think the dealer will have to come back at some point and have another look. Just trying to make hay at the moment, so not great timing.

What’s your serial number and what year is it
I’ve also got a very early 7480 2004 that had to have a new engine wiring loom as that had all broken up

Mine is a 56 plate but it was registered in early 07. I’m just at a loss with it and so are the dealers I think. They checked the loom and couldn’t find any problems.

Yes I would say it is. But the other day when mowing the temperature charge was reading hotter then, wirh no lights or error code. But today the temperature charge was normal.

More expense then!!!!! I hope it doesn’t let me down for the next couple of days. Maybe the dealer have got an Ecu off another 7480 I can borrow.

Looks like you do need laptop to fit it but ecu from any T2 6cylinder Perkins 54/64/74 should work irl email France to see if they do one but they haven’t one listed

Sorry to bore everyone and keep bringing this thread back to life!!! The dealer came out and has put a new Ecu on. I don’t have any fault codes or flashing warning lights. What I do have it’s like it’s hunting for fuel! It struggles to go flat out on a main road and up some hills you think it’s going to die. The dealer has asked me to change the fuel filters and blow the pipes back into the tank. I changed fuel filters about 30 hours ago so I’m not convinced that is the problem!’

Fit a new lift pump had the lever wear on one once that did similar

It is revving flat out. But when you go up a hill you can watch the Rev counter drop and then go back up again!!! Topping up a bit of steep yesterday I thought it was going to stall. Revs went from 540 right down to below 400 😳

At a guess i'd say the dealer has fitted the ECU and programmed it with the flash file - so it runs ok, but they have not entered into the ECU the FLS (Full load setting) and the FTS (Full torque setting), which is the electronic governor - meaning the revs pull right back on a hill with the feeling it is going to stall.

When we tried the Ecu last time it worked fine. I’m sure it’s the same Ecu so am a bit confused and fed up with it all now!!’ I will change the filters but not holding out much hope that, that is the problem.
