Massey 7480 error code.

Many thanks for all your answers. Sounds like it might be the electric side of the pump as I’m sure he said there was a can error. I will use it today and keep fingers crossed.

Our 6465 t2 came up with that code last August.but also reduced power.had a laptop on it they said low pump internal pressure.and wanted to fit a new pump.so I brought it home fitted new lift pump fuel filters and replaced the fuel lines but it didn’t work.so as it was still working we kept using it on light duty.then this spring while harrowing it just started to work properly and is still ok now.

Just a quick update. Used the tractor today. Lights or the codes didn’t come on for about an hour. Then they all came on. Used it like that. It only lost powe once up a hill. Apart from that it worked fine.

Sorry it’s been awhile to give an update. A few weeks ago when it was dry. I mowed about 16 acres. Lights or the code never came on. Then went and rolled in some grass seeds. Light came on while rolling up hill. Was a bit steep but nothing bad. I spoke to the dealer. They said it could be a speed sensor. They want to put it on the dyno to test!!!! I will let you know the outcome but it may have to wait till when maize has finished.

Does anyone know what would cause these lights to come on? I’ve got the same error code up as I did last year.

Ours had all the lights on with the code.went off when the code did.

My lights have been coming on flashing then going off. It did throw up the code a few times. I then made an error and turned the tractor off. It took ages for it to start. It is now in the workshop waiting for someone to look at it.

Is there water in the fuel filters, E97 error?

I’ve changed the fuel filters. I’ve not had that error code come up.

Check and clean power and earth points at front of cab and rear of cab

The mechanic has found a small amount of dirt and a little bit of water in the filter. I didn’t get an error code E97. Would dirt in the filter bring up the dashboard lights? I will get him to check the earth points on the cab.

mined did your original code for ages if it was slow to start, eventually it came on during operation then just would not start,

i did loads of testing on my pump the electric bit was fine but when i sent off it was goosed mechanically.

managed to get a returned gen Perkins one cheap.

if you search my threads of search testing vp44 pump there is loads of info.

I don’t hear great reports of it being very successful. I also need to get it fixed ASAP as I need to get some slurry out for a Farmer.

ring round a few dealers they don't always charge the same price especially if it's on stock rather than ordered in

Could I hijack the thread? Tier 3 7480 randomly coming up with TLPH. When it comes up the speed stays at the speed it was going when the error comes up, the only way to stop it is to clutch.
If you stop the tractor and leave it for 20 seconds it’s ok again for a while.

I had same thing with one of mine it was the output shaft speed sensor.
