TAFE owns a sizeable stake of AGCO, The chair of TAFE is Mallika Srinivasan, she is an Indian industrialist and also a director of AGCO so hopefully they will be able to sort it out!
Yes Tafe owns 16% of AGCO, is Malika Sirinivasan still a director of AGCO?

It’s more than a little disagreement. It’s got so bad that AGCO/MF are to cease [possibly already have] buying parts for legacy tractors [up to 200 series and some others] from TAFE and are trying to stop TAFE’s license to use the MF brand in all markets.
MF can still buy parts for older tractors from other sources of course, such as Millat of Pakistan, another of their licensees.

I was under the impression, as is stated in the news article, that TAFE had been able to extend its license for a number of years, but apparently AGCO have served notice that they should desist and stop using the MF brand forthwith. TAFE actually manufacture more MF branded tractors by far then all other licensees and AGCO together. Huge numbers and mostly under 75hp.

This all came about because Mrs Sirinivasan, the owner of TAFE, has allegedly been trying to undermine AGCO’s other board members, its management and indeed trying to take AGCO over through buying more shares than her agreement, linked to her board seat on AGCO, allows. It’s just got even more messy than it already was.

I’m getting some popcorn in to watch this little disagreement progress and ultimately conclude. There may be a Netflix drama in this story eventually.
