Hello all
New member here interested in the MF124.
I am interested to find that these were made in France. I am in NZ and have found a very good condtion one for sale.
Can anyone tell me if the French ones are better or worse than. It has a wide tyre on the chamber(LH) side, others i have seen do not have that. It appears to have do very little work.

Silver wheels would suggest it's a late model so it should have the 5 tine bar pick up which feeds better than the 4 tine bar pick up. Pick up wheel was an option that's worth having.
Genuine parts are expensive but there are enough aftermarket and 2nd hand parts available to keep these balers going.
It's probably around the right money unfortunately, I've seen them advertised for more.
Wish my 124 was as clean and tidy.

I would suggest that $7k is not that far away. If I was selling a 124 in that condition then that's the sort of money I would be after.

There is a facebook page (run by a member on here) for conventional baler nutters and some of the scrap that get's advertised for sale on it is incredible, balers that have been left in the nettles for years with the last bales still in the chamber, and they folks are asking the sort of money that your seller is asking.

So in short I would get that baler snapped up!!

French 124 , odd it has the windguard tine savers like a 224, maybe a very late one.

Dad had serial number 3 from France, he waited till they started making them in France as our mechanic told him that some of the drivelines and guards would be heaver built which they are, ran that one for a few years then bought another and ran 2 for a year or two then sold the old one to buy a round baler, still have the other one.

Very good baler and for its time very fast if set up and maintained properly.
