Massey Ferguson 135 IBC Carrier

Hi all,

My fiancee's family keep horses and they are on rented fields without water supplies.
For the past 15 years they have taken water out to them in jerry cans in the back of the Terrano until I showed up and showed them the setup I have for my she'll with IBC's mounted in the fields. I currently pump from one sat in my pickup to one in the field but they don't have a pickup and my pickup isn't always available so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to mount one on a MF135 which doesn't have a loader. My idea is on the front weight bracket but I'm no fabricator or even that familiar with tractors.
I'm hesitant to have it on the rear linkage as 1ton of water would probably make the front end light.

Any advice would be welcome.

Buy a trailer, you will never steer or see with a full ibc on front weight tray

The front axle will get it hard to cope with a full IBC.
Maybe half fill it on the back?

Ratchet strap it into a link box, though the floor might need extending.
But the trailer sounds better .................

I've seen some linkage mounted pallet forks on eBay, not sure what the lift capacity of. 135 is but if it would lift it you'd probably need some weights upfront. Again don't know if your tractor has a weight frame but MF used to do some 27kg weights that would be more appropriate for this size of tractor.
The pallet fork idea would mean you could drop the IBC off, if you don't need to you're probably better off with a small trailer as already suggested.
