Halfbaked farmer who posts on here has a Huard reversible. He may know the answer or try Westlake plough parts

Jim,
you've got the BLT ley base which in my opinion is the best one, I've got a 260 2 furrow that I sometimes take to ploughing matche's, unfortunately the 2 piece share is not been available for a number of years, apparently kuhn still do part's for them and you'll have to convert to a share with reversible points similar to kV, but I use Westlake plough parts as Mark is now remanufacturing some part's, shares, points landside's (short and long), skimmer palms and discs.

If you have a MF dealer that was selling MF in the seventies or find an old one that maybe is selling something else they will probably still have a base's book, 260 parts books do sell on ebay but don't cover the bases.
The disc bearing's are two plastic bushes which are available from kuhn.
All the part numbers start with HU, when you get a part number you change the HU to KU to get the Kuhn equivalent, the number stays the same.
I hope this helps you out.

Hotbed. Thanks very much for sharing that with me. Very useful information there as I'm only a ploughing novice so any help and advice is appreciated. I have spoken to Mark at Westlake Ploughs and he seems confident about supplying replacement parts for my plough. He has said that the original points are now obsolete but could supply a different type of point but would require a new wing as well but at £42.50 + v.a.t. each per leg this works out expensive as it's only a hobby for me.

Birthday and Christmas present's then, mine has the obsolete points on as well, I have scanned ebay for year's but none have come up for sale.
Once you've brought the shares, replacing the reversible tip'swon't be a hardship.
Happy saving.

This is a most enjoyable thread dealing with an era so quickly lost in time between the giant tractor explosion and the min till era. A rare, well engineered and practical plough which became obsolete almost instantaneously but well worth preserving. Good luck in your quest.
