Massey Ferguson 30 Drill or similar required for new farmer starting out

I'm on the lookout for an MF 30 drill or similar to go behind an International 574. This autumn I'm taking on some farm land alongside my day job in agriculture and need something to plant wheat and other cereals.

Must be disc coulter.

Optional: markers, tramliner, end tow (unless 4m then ideally would be).

Ideally it will be ready to go to work but I'm capable of doing a bit of repairing/replacing if necessary. Wheels/tyres aren't an issue as we do have some spares from when the farm used to have a similar drill.

Can collect in East Anglia. Based near Sudbury so the closer the better.

Replies or PM welcomed, thanks for reading

The deciding factor will be your field sizes and gate sizes, and whether you go on the main road
Transporting a 4 or 3 m drill is a pest, a 2.6m you can get most places, even a 3m can, but not a 4

The farm is 3 fields, 2 of which (25ac) are arable at the moment. They are all next to the yard. Current contractor gets a decent sized combine in no bother. End tow would be a nice luxury though in case I needed to go further afield in future.....

i was just about to post a link to this one, im 99% certain of its history , its a lovley drill. i drilled with it about 6 years ago . tram liner , reekie harrows and pre em markers. and bout markers that run up the middle of the bonnet too - because i made them !

it came from Bennett and tegadines yard at wisbech

Thanks both, I had seen that one already, hence my earlier question about my tractor being able to pull a 4m one. Good to know a bit of history, and yes I do like that it has "proper" markers.
If my tractor will pull it then it's definitely a contender with having all the desirable extras

i pulled it on a NH 5060, (16.9 wheels and always in 2wd) on black land and it was fine

the wheel eradicators may still be set at 80" . id used to have a set of small seed rollers with it too, and its on 10 flute rollers too

You haven't said what land you planning to drill , what time of the year or indeed what cultivations you plan to do, all of which can affect the power required to do it. or if you need to snatching bits in between other jobs or you have all day to potter about.

but with a set of duels i think you'll be fine with your HP
