Evening all,
My 390T 4x4 is in need of some new boots.
Now it does very little work and is more of a toy to be honest.

Any recommendations on replacement tyres and possibly slightly bigger than original perhaps?

Presuming it is on 13.6r24s and 16.9r34s at the moment, I would go with 380/70r24s and 480/70r34s. Slightly wider but can be put on the same rims.

Just fitted vredenstein to a Ford 5000 340/85x38 seemed good value I was going to fit Seat tyres they look a good tyre . The biggest problem is perishing on older little used tractors how good will they be at 20 years old. The ancient taurus tyres we took off weren’t exactly bald but daren’t go far from home they kept nipping the tubes.but time will only tell.

Just been faffing about with it in the yard and on the field.

It seems to do everything it should and when I select 4wd on the move there is definitely a little bit of front tyre turf pulling at full lock, none in 2wd so I don’t think it’s far out.

Then my neighbour dropped round, said he has exactly the same trouble with his 4000 series MF, which is basically the same, so I’m not going to worry. The problem is worse on the concrete than on the field, which is understandable, but it doesn’t seem as bad as I thought.
