The oil droplet in a gear one is transmission oil pressure warning light and the 2 gears light is power shuttle error code which comes on at the same time. If they come on after starting and quickly go out don't worry about it. If they stay on I think the tractor needs a service

Does the "two gear" light flash? If so count how many times.

Should run a series of flashes a pause then another series of flashes.

Crack the code and let me know I may be able to help

If the back end oil and strainers/filters have been cleaned and changed then everything should be ok. Perhaps they knocked the sensor while servicing?

Those 2 lights occasionally come on in our 4270 for no apparent reason but don't stay on for very long so I just ignore them. If the light in the bottom left corner comes on (gear wheel with a line through) then you need to stop the engine otherwise it could cause damage

The steering pump provides the low pressure oil for the gearbox services, 4wd, pto, diff lock etc so if the steering is locking then releasing I would be concerned the oil is getting to these services and you don’t want the power shuttle on one of those to run dry

We topped up the hydraulic oil and it seems to be ok now however still have the lights? Any used tractor i would of thought it would have 3 months warranty?

You can combine the spool valve oil flow with the lift arm flow to give you super fast twin oil flow. The lever is at the rear of the right hand console, next the the 1000/540 selector

Back to your earlier post, I've found the book at last, here is the code list

4-2 sounds likely, if it's been run short of oil and lacks hydraulic flow as you indicate, it may well be the auxiliary tandem hydraulic pump (opperates both steering and spool valves) is on the way out.. possibly covered by warranty??

I have a 4345 and I had the same lights on. Originally changed the pressure switches and sorted it temporarily but the problem came back. Basically losing drive and wouldn’t move. It turned out to be the ecu in the tractor which controls the forward and back. Something like £800 for a new one and then has to be programmed after that. Hope that helps.

FFS! Who'd want a machine which did this even occasionally? POS to put it mildly.
