That will have the French built head on it which may make getting spares not so easy. A bigger issue may be the wobble box if you have any issues. The French heads were metricated but not that many built. It may well be that fingers and sections from another make may fit, if so I would get plenty in.Cheers only guna be doing 30ac a year with it cos it's hard to find contractors for such small acreage will I still be able to buy new knife sections and finger guards etc for it ?
Thankyou I'm very happy with it most belts look fairly new has been serviced regularly stored inside the only problems iv found so far fuel temp and oil pressure gauges aren't working and the knife sections look well worn it's done 1952hrs should think that's low hours for age? I paid £2250 bargain?looks in fantastic order by the way. obviously one very careful owner
No built anywhere near as strong but layout is still similar cab is pretty basic and noisyWould it be similar in design to the 7-800 series canadian build combines. looks very much the same.
I had a 750 for a number of years. Brute of a combine size wise but pretty reliable. A 525 too at one point. Massey made a good combine in the 500 series but couldn’t get to new hollands popularityNo built anywhere near as strong but layout is still similar cab is pretty basic and noisy
No totally differentWould it be similar in design to the 7-800 series canadian build combines. looks very much the same.
I will have a look in the morning thanks il put a pic up if something looks amiss if you think of anything else I should check I'd greatly appreciate it cheersCheck the 2 brackets bolted to the traction gear box that the belt tensioner is fixed to. Unlike Kilmarnock built machines which had clamping bolts to hold the gearbox after adjustment, the marqette built ones didn't. If these brackets fail the box will jump up bending the gear change cables. I dread to think what replacements would cost of you could get them.
