Hi thinking of changing tractors at the min iv got a 1995 ford 7840 sle but was thinking of selling it for a massey 6280/90. What's peoples thoughts on the massey

if its a solid front axle check the pinion shaft for wear check the roof for rot between the two hatches and if everything else works it will be ok dont get to hung up on hours a 5000 hr tractor thats never been serviced is a more dangerous thing

only other thing is rear pinion bearing can collapse drive it on the road either on the flat or down hill get going as fast as you can then let the throttle off and listen for a clunk from the rear diff area.
it does it on over run the pinion shaft lifts up so you get a clunk the other sign is no handbrake
