Massey Topcon Auto Steer Not Working

I have a MF 5712sl with factory fitted topcon autosteer (the more basic option). Everything was working fine a couple of weeks ago, went to use it yesterday the GPS all works ok but when you press the button for it to steer itself it says steering subsystem cannot be found turn on steering valve. The switch on the pillar is turned on and illuminated, similarly the fast steer switch lights up but fast steer will not work either. I assume this is all connected.
The GPS all seems to work as I can still use it as a lightbar, I am thinking the issue is either with the steering valve or the power supply to the steering valve? I have checked fuses in the back of the cab and under the right step not sure what else to try?

Has anyone had a similar problem? I think it is the same system as is fitted to the bigger pre trimble tractors?

Fast steer and gps steering use the same valve it just switches mode. There is a light on the valve head fitted to the orbitrol, it is a bugger to see but it’s red you have a problem

Most of the problems I’ve had with MF topcon have been down to poor contacts in the roof plug. This has been with the 12v pin.

Give the plug on the steering valve a wiggle , I had to have a new valve in the end but it was playing up for a long time before it gave up

Thanks for all the suggestions we tool the receiver off and sprayed contact cleaner in the connections although they looked clean, refitted it and still no better later on after having tried to look at steering valve started the tractor it said it needed to be calibrated and has worked since. Not sure what actually made it work and how long it will last but fingers crossed.

Extended warranty so no idea but guarantee it wasn't cheap
