Masssy ferguson 6400 series fuel pump.

My fuel pump on my Massey ferguson 6499 went down at the start of the week.
Massey wanted £540 for a new one as you have to buy filter housing unit as well.
Found out that vapormatic do the pump for £198 plus discount.
I got it for £160.
The part number is VPD3080
Hope this helps someone in the future and a big saving of original Massey part.

Yes there a smaller one with less flow and a bigger one also you can get ones with two wires ones like fitted to JCB handlers.
No error codes yet will keep you informed.

That's exactly what I did. It was 1/3rd of the price of the MF one.

Does any1 know what brand of injector pump a 6499 tier 2 has or how much a new 1 is. Ours is not starting and mechanic hasnt got it looked at yet but says a good possibility itl need a new pump

Bosch vp.have a ring round they are a well used pump so their are plenty of specialists.

Doesn't sound bad sure I was over 1k for vp44 for my 6480.

Ok il have to wait to see when the mechanic gets her looked at. Is that the same pump as a tm190 and a fendt 924? As they giv trouble. Would it be possible to put a pump of a 8200 series massey and have a throttle cable?

we got ours repaired at Diesel Bob in Lancashire.
