is that tylan 200 ? as there is a 400 on some sites and do you still use anti inflam ?
been using betamox here for one last week (with anti inflam ) has stopped the infection but shes lost the quarter , that heavy rain (stress) after the dry has caused all sorts of issues that were bubbling under i recon , picked up a 6 week old lamb that had lost use of back legs betamox seems to have helped that as well getting about alright this morning but still a bit stiff
I've had a few problems the day or so after the heavy rain. I think there is some truth in what you say. It's the first time the lambs have ever seen rain.

Im glad all my lambs had Ovivac Plus and booster during the dry spell, so far no issues.

Ewe with mastitis is getting a jab of Draxxen later after speaking to vet, gave her another jab of Metacam this morning.

Had a ewe go solid 3 weeks ago, treated with Betamax LA but lambs were old enough to survive so hasn't remembered. Dad thought a ewe had fly strike last night so phoned me to come and catch her, I recognised her straight away. No fly strike but her udder has exploded, treated with fly prevention as a precautionary, she's holding condition well and should be worth something as a cull! If it's deemed to graphic or anything I'll take it down.

Nice clean belly on her. What breed?

I had something similar happen to my lab last month. Over £400 in vet costs (got her to vet as soon as mastitis came on, but udder still sloughed off). Obviously no culling, but she's getting spayed next month.

Yes, Tylan 200, and always with Metacam. Very rare to save a quarter with mastitis IME and, if you do, it never functions at full tilt again, so may as well be one quartered.:(
