Morning All,

Been using my new to me TR200 to bring hay in last few days. It seems to have abit of an oil leak from somewhere inside the boom. How easy is it to get to any of the hoses and couplings?

Thanks
Steve

sodding nightmare
There are couplings at the top of the boom that may be leaking because they are difficult to seat a spanner on and tighten properly but if its the hoses they are doubles and coil inside the boom with the result they rub through, easiest way is to take inner boom out, from memory there are steel pipes in there as well.
Terex sorted the problem by running the coiled rubber pipes along the outside of the boom, about the only good thing they did to the 200, not sure if the mod. could be fitted to a matbro though.

early TR200 had a tray inside the boom, these were awkward to change later Matbros had external pipes which were better/easier, Terex just carried on with the same design.

with early ones it is possible to remove the tray with the boom in place but its not easy.

you need to make a very long 13mm open end spanner! and so long as no one had modified the boom pivot pin you can slide the tray out and over the cab roof!

IMO its easier to just rip the boom out, take the tilt ram out etc and clean it all up then refit.

Think I used to do it in situ cut a spanner short and welded a old socket on it so as you could use a ratchet to turn it think you have to remove as a bonded pair
