Mattresses

We ve Wilsons in prob 15 years. Cows were in 365 and I m amazed how well they've lasted. Neughbour did teemore at ssme time and although they looked better initially the foam has compacted. They are ribbed a bit and we're harder to clean at the start but have levelled out a bit. A few of the green poly pillows broken over the years but overall very good value for money. I reckon its the drying out over the summer when she'd empty that destroys the top cover. Our is still good.

new at that price? My concern with a mat over a continuous mattress is sawdust getting underneath
Easyfix mats look well designed with the interlocking pattern to make them sort of continuous too avoid sawdust underneath. Not sure how they are long term. Also there's a Dairy farm down pembs with a few different types of mats mattresses that the wynnstay rep was willing for us to go see.

I've got a quote on the go for the Easyfix ones (as well as others), so would be good to hear opinions.

We’ve got quite a few easyfix Neptunes in and like them, seem the most durable and plenty of comfort, easy to clean. Dan the rep is a good chap too.

We put Intershape mattresses down some 10 years ago some 14 years ago.
Installed ourselves, very pleased with them. Likely to last as long again.
We too fitted intershape in our heifers and our cows, a lot cheaper than the thicker mattress from the likes of Wilson and teemoore but for a grazing herd I think there Bob on and one continuous run so no issues with sawdust underneath. One thing we do need is some form of brisket pillow, have seen the boards and tubes but don’t think they offer much comfort to the cows

we’ve a qbed think around 12k. Bobman with lime box 21k! It makes a fantastic job and we’d really struggle without it now in all honesty
THE Qbed at 13k now is comparable with Bobman Super at 14k the bobman is a stronger more proven machine ..the 21k Bobman is the SL which is different alltogether bigger engine bigger tub and self loading at £19,250
