I can't blame the migrants for trying for a better life. Pretty courageous and desperate people who will again get the message that the UK will be taking more in. Where can the line be drawn: 1/2 million? 1 million? 2 million? more?
What about vetting? What about a clash of culture? More work for social services/police/courts when forced /childmarriages/FGM/ witchcraft/ spells and any number of other quaint practices start to come to light. Of course all migrants don't want to carry out these crimes but they happen here already and anyone who thinks this won't increase with increased migration is living in cloud cuckoo land.
We have enough troubles at the moment without looking for more.
Politicians had better wake up. They never seem to see the writing on the wall.

poland i believe has aprox two thirds the population of the uk , how many migrants has it accepted?
Who cares, it's how many are arriving in the UK that counts. Most migrants into the UK are so called students, relatives of people who are already here or refugees, the few thousand illegals who come via the ports are irreverent.

There are no more or less migrants coming to the UK than any other major European countries. As a % of the population in 2016 non EU migrants made up:-

UK 8.3%
France 8.5%
Germany 8.0%
Sweden 11.6%
Ireland 5.3%
Holland 8.8%
Spain 8.5%
Italy 6.7%
(source EMN)
Maybe Ireland should be encouraged to takes some more:D:whistle:
Why quote only eight of 27 EU members?

Tbh - I'll bet language is a big reason for a lot heading to the uk (speaking the same (well very similar) to the us). How many are likely to have any cz or polish or Slovak etc

Most don't head for the UK. Something like 2 million migrants have arrived in Europe of which a few thousand have entered illegally (no can know as we don't have an id card) and 20k plus will eventually enter legally.

We are furiously building emergency accommodation for the hoards of refugees fleeing Britain once Brexit reality hits.o_O

Welcome!!!
That’s really is very kind of you. Can you take them by the truck load NOW?
Then maybe the rest of us can get on with Leaving a bit sooner!

However I do have to warn you about all those good folks that work in the city of London that voted Remain. Don’t take any sh1t from them, what ever you do.

And I’d watch out for that B-Lair fellow too if I were you

That's funny actually. The uk really is fudgeed post Brexit, Brits can't even wash their own cars now, never mind their parents arses

ffs Mark , I thought you went to france to chill out in your dotage........ would appear to have an opposite effect . :scratchhead:

You're morphing in to speedstar 2 .

Now that is a bit unkind to @czechmate. His car is a rally car. He can’t wash it for two reasons:
The mud is the only thing holding it together.
Or he crashed it somewhere and it can’t be moved to a supermarket where the refugees that clean cars hang out / live!

Yep, it's hard to keep ckean on Welsh highways.

Do you know, that album, I heard "how soon is now" for the first time, walking through HMV. I walked right up and bought it then (12" round vinyl thing). Awesome band/songs. But might be something in what you say- that album is 1984, I've probably always been a miserable git:(

It was a brilliant album .
