Half a crop there at the moment. Not flowering yet, no heads, but it will probably be twice the feed value as if we leave it till June and its stalky and caught by the rain. Not sure that leaving it will improve the quality as the season is moving on and will just go to stalk.

I think I'll mow some tomorrow. Ground will have dried a bit more by then.
 
Hmmmm........Dad says May-hay = never any good. So, we'll probably make it in wet and windy June again instead.......:LOL:

Still, nothing there worth cutting ATM.
I cut 8 acre that was too strong for cattle last year end of may with the intention to wrap it to get it out of the way.got called out on silage for a few days and when i looked at it it was only a turning off hay so we baled it.loverly green hay it was
