McConnell topper

When using my McConnell 9 today the blades started to hit . Something in drive shafts or gearbox .
Taken off covers there is more movement on one side short shaft with rubber drive bushes as grub screw is missing .Any ideas ?I need to take off rubber drive to check splines going in I suppose.

Splines are gone on the donut drive adapter so if you can replace them with this type.................................

this type have a more positive fixing in comparison to the grub screw type ..........................................................................
