McCormick 105 transmission fuse blowing

+ 1 for the flywheel speed sensor it's located in the side of the bellhousing just behind the diesel tank. Unplug it and it will work fine just the clutch will be a bit harsher. (Unless it's a restyled cx and it won't drive without it working)
The other option could be the direction sensors on the r/h side of the gear box going in at angles to each other just behind the big pipe the goes down the gearbox, again just unplug them and try it (make sure u know which plugs into which as the plugs the same for each one).

I must admit though, I find it hard to imagine the clutch being any harsher than it always has been:eek:

It’s 04, does that give any clue as to whether it’s a restyled cx?

Would this be a similar set up on a McCormick mtx165 with the speed sequencer box? Mine is blowing the transmission fuse occasionally, normally at high speed or revs so usually on the road leaving you stranded at the most inconvenient moment.
