what type of round baler is it rookswood? I pull my Krone rp130 easily with a Mc Cormick CX95 which is only 90hp or are you on some steep ground?
Well all i know is a relation bought a mccormick (not sure on model) think its around 140 hp 4 pot about a year n half ago, he was a jd man but he was fit to buy the mccormick and a new tanker with dribble bar for less than a new deere which had less spec than the mccormick plus mccormick thru in a weight block. It’s 144-155 hp and am not sure who makes the gearbox. I’d be very interested to know the price.
The Gearbox is made in house by Argo Tractors, 4 Mech range changes with 6 split gears = 24x24 - Also as above post X6.415 is 144-155 hp, FPT engine, 4 cylIt’s 144-155 hp and am not sure who makes the gearbox. I’d be very interested to know the price.
It is a Argo Tractors transmission. X6.415 is 155 bosted HP - The numbers and letters on the bonnet mean = x is for McCormick, 6 = is the Seris, 4= 4cyl, 15 = engine hp - hope this helpsIs that still a zf tranny or am i right in saying that arco has developed thier own version now? Does 415 mean 4 pot, 115 hp?

Have they been using thier own tranny long? Is it in the larger tractors yet and is it thier own vario theyr using now aswel?Argo Tractors Transmission built in house. 4 cylinder, 135hp + 10hp boost FPT engine.
This transmission is new for the new X6HD range. However the previous X6's have used their in house CVT for about 4 years from memory . X7 and X8 is all ZF. And manual X6's, X5's and X4's have used an in house transmission since the start. However I think the new X4 is a Carraro affair.Have they been using thier own tranny long? Iv been warned off the x6 with manual gearstick by a inde mechanic that works at them, he says "backend made of cheese". Is the mccormick vario a hydrostatic system like the fendt or a multi range mixed with hydro setup like the zf and cnh varios? This transmission is new for the new X6HD range. All of them including the Fendt are versions of a power-splitting mechanical and hydro design. The Fendt only has two mechanically shifted ranges though while the others mostly have four power-shifted ranges.Iv been warned off the x6 with manual gearstick by a inde mechanic that works at them, he says "backend made of cheese". Yes the fendt has 2 ranges but they dont shift range on the go, so once your in high range its hydro right from zero to top speedAll of them including the Fendt are versions of a power-splitting mechanical and hydro design. There are so many different brands and designs made now that I’ve lost track of their engineering.
No it’s not. The power is split between the mechanical system and hudraulic and could be from fully hydro at one speed to fully mechanical at another.Yes the fendt has 2 ranges but they dont shift range on the go, so once your in high range its hydro right from zero to top speed
Compared to the merlo? They are , we had this one on pit and its greatView attachment 1045421
The merlo is not to bad on the pit, ive had alot worse in the past .Compared to the merlo?
Can't say we've had any gearbox issues with them. PTO packs on the early ones weren't man enough though. However this was improved with the later ones. And the Argo CVT is a multi range mixed with hydro. There is a high and low range selected by the driver. Then within each there are two ranges which the tractor selects itself.Iv been warned off the x6 with manual gearstick by a inde mechanic that works at them, he says "backend made of cheese". The cvt is excellent for drivers point of view really good i thought .Can't say we've had any gearbox issues with them. PTO packs on the early ones weren't man enough though. Yeah it's great for loader work. My only advise with it is go 50kmph. It was designed for 50kmph and limiting it to 40kmph takes some of the edge off of it.The cvt is excellent for drivers point of view really good i thought .
No the X6 CVT is much less aggressive on slow down. Acceleration is programmable if you have the DSM Screen. X7 acceleration / aggresiveness is also programmable but don't think the slow down is. Does hold back a trailer really well though. With that and the standard exhaust brake the service brakes don't get used much.I drove a landini 7175 cvt i think it was, found the tranny quite aggressive especially on slow down. Is the x6 like this or would that even be programmable in the x7
Yes it would be good on a trailer. I just wasnt used to it compared to a fendt or deere. No the X6 CVT is much less aggressive on slow down. Acceleration is programmable if you have the DSM Screen.
