Mccormick mtx 140 non starter - fuel? injectors? Compression?

My mtx140 won't start but will with a sniff then runs fine but won't start again, we have compression tested it

Does anyone know what the compression should be? I've done lift pump and filters, just sent injectors away, pump will be next.

Perkins 1006-60 right?

I believe 16 bar is the official compression figure.

I drove a Massey some years back that was a sod to start, they reckoned injectors was the issue.

Would it have a VP44 fuel pump the same as Massey Ferguson used on teir 2 64 series tractors as they were known for problems and could fail suddenly

That's my thoughts. They fitted both vp44 and mechanical pump to that tractor. 8f it has vp44 then it needs to see 10v when tractor is turning over for ecu to work
