Cummins were involved with Iveco and CNH from 1996 to 2008 with the EEA engines which were just Ivecos, which then became FPT engines.Or something along those lines...

There possibly is as nowadays companies are so intertwined and with costs to stay ahead of emissions targets its possible they design stuf together anď then market it seperately, havin cummins dna isnt a bad thing anyway as they make good products to

There quite possibly is but probably out of my budget, I'm looking at about 25-30 k, im not interested in finance.
It will only be used for destoning really and for towing the firewood processor around (I'm in construction and looking for something to give my body a rest for a month or 2 a year)

Mtx is a good solid basic tractor. Trying to find a low hour example will be your biggest problem. Excellent engine well proven gearbox which like any other brand does not like abuse. Clutch packs good for high hours if your sensible with it. Hand brake wont tolerate being driven with it left on. Good hydraulic output for your destoner.
Paint can be poor resulting in rusty steps etc. Would suggest changing brakes straight away if you buy one. There cheap to do and the new type disc is very good

Thanks for the replys guys, looks like landini is to be avoided, was considering them because I have a good dealer backup near by ( agars)
I'll concentrate on finding a good mtx, is there a certain year or spec to be avoided?

Agars will look after any brand of tractor within reason as long as they can get the parts easily enough and it doesn’t require a laptop to fix. Why don’t you ask them what used tractor in that price bracket they would recommend/be happy looking after?

Failing that there is plenty of self employed ‘man-in-a-van’ mechanics in that neck of the woods that could look after a used Deere/CNH/Fergi relatively cheaply

Im not sure how fpt came about but Iveco and Cummings are the best you will ever get im opinion , nothing else compares .

That's a very good point, I've got to go see agars anyway as I'm going to sell the zetor 7245 and the Ford 8210 to part finance the new tractor.
I'd even be open to a big zetor, but I've never seen 1 above 110hp round here.

Ours has just sheared the four wheel drive shaft and coupler. The engine seems to big for all the other pieces which are made out of chocolate.

We run 2 MTX 150's now at 8 and 10K hours, good basic tractors, and would have another

It is, and I love the tractor to bits but spending 14 hrs a day in it at PTO revs gets a little noisy
