McCormick X7.650 Efficient - User Opinions?

What do people make of this offering from McCormick?

http://www.dands.ie/product/x7-650-series-t4i/

Seems a nice get up and go mid range hp tractor with a minimum of complicated equipment while offering cab and front suspension if required. Thats if the price is right of course!

It would be interesting to hear opinions of anyone that either owns or has demo'd this model. Anyone an idea of pricing on this model? Seems to have a good combination of the proven FPT engine and ZF Transmission.

So is the Efficient slightly lower spec than the Premium??
I see the efficient doesn't have the arm rest control but what other differences are there and is there much difference
in price between the two?

To me it seems that the only differences are the lack of elec spools, headland management, and the control screen. Mechanically they are identical.

Looking like a good relatively simple tractor if the price is right.

The main differences are ....no armrest console it's all on the r/h side of the cab like old school tractors, 3 mechanical spools instead of electric, no headland management system but it does have auto pto, auto 4wd and diff lock, different lights and a few less work lights, smaller mirrors, manual a/c system instead of climate controll, standard with smaller rear lift rams but can be specd up to larger lift capacity. that's roughly it. It's the exact same chassis with options of front and cab suspension 50kph and air just the same as the premiums. The 650 model has no engine HP boost either just straight 160hp.
It's aim is for the farmer that doesn't want all the tec of a mainstream modern day tractor.

So with the standard specification, it's actually better equipped than the equivalent fixed ratio tractors from nearly every other brand?

One of the big Cereal and Potato growers around here hired in a number of 160hp machines both McMac X7660s and CASE 160s last season to pull 14 tonne trailers up to 10 miles + from base. They did this several times a day from late July to late November. I had a chat with one of the farms long serving employees who gets to drive everything and he was quite upbeat about the McMacs, said they hadn't had any of the old reliability issues associated with the brand and their road manners were decent when pulling a full load at 30 mph. Certainly an improvement on the XTX 165s used before.
