McCormick xtx tractors

What’s everyone’s opinions on the McCormick xtx tractors? We have always run case tractors and our Mx 110 has been one of the best tractors we have ever had. I’m looking to have another and it must have front and cab suspension so I can have 50k. I would rather had the fully electronic gearbox Aswell instead of the 4 with 4 splitters like on our Mx. What’s everyone think about them? Anything good? anything bad? A 145 would do me but if there was a tidy 180 or 200 I wouldn’t mind going for one of them.

Got a xtx 165 pulls near 19t well enough, nice basic tractor based on a proven platform. I think based on a similar tractor from another brand a much better bang for your money

5 of them very local to us,from 145 up to 185,no major problems, but they do all have the manual gear change with 8 power shifts per range, not the other full electric Gear box ?

They look mega cheap horsepower when you see them advertised for the money. Some would be too snobby to run them, wouldn’t bother me.

This is my 165 same layout as a Mx/mtx with 4 ranges and 8 power shifts per range. No major faults just a few minor ones. It’s a great field tractor but on the road but It is only 40k

Have a 165 and had a 185 also. Both great tractors to drive in my opinion, can't beat the IFS for comfort. Used to drive massey/NH/JD for people and find the mccormicks more comfortable than all of them personally. We only have had the manual 4 - 8 gearboxes. The 185 was 50k and the 165 40k. But the 165 if you disconnect the speed sensor underneath and swap the 2 gear wires over underneath it turns it into 50k as it no longer knocks the revs off in top gear.... You likely will get the odd trouble with sensors possibly. Good easy tractors to drive in my opinion the xtx. Try J, charnley & sons. They usually have some second hands in. They still have my 185 but as said its a manual gearbox.
