McGregor Poultry Polytunnel Users

I would be interested to hear the experiences of any forum members using such mobile poultry houses. I am thinking of the small towable versions housing hundreds rather than thousands of laying hens.
I am not so concerned with the principles of this scale of hen keeping but more to do with the operational aspects of this type of tunnel.
I appreciate this is a very specialised subject and not relevant to most therefore please feel free to PM me and I can make direct contact if you are happy to share any ideas.
Thanks in anticipation

These tunnels certainly wont blow away.
Pictures all on McGregors website - model MPL 4250 ?

Without sounding like a spod, I was particularly after things like the positioning of feeders and drinkers, nest box arrangements, cleaning down, coaching the pullets, moving the tunnel, ventilation etc.

I did say this would be unlikely to be of general interest!

cheers

OK....had a quick look.
First impressions....fairly standard set up.
I presume the end of the shed is the scratch area ?
Certainly looks light (and flimsy) compared to say, APS arks. It would need to be towed GENTLY in a straight line. Set off at 90 MPH and do an abrupt turn...and it'll be history. I wouldn't let the muck build up too much either.
You appear to have to stand outside in all weathers to collect eggs.(n)
Feeders appear to have to be filled by hand ? Birds also like to pick food up off the floor, which means picking pellets out the feeders, dropping it on the floor.....which means it gets lost through the slatted floor and wasted.
Coaching:eek:.....well, plastic eggs in the nest boxes, and don't make the scratch area too cosy at the start. They will ALWAYS want to use the end nestbox.
Can't see much in the way of ventilation ?

thank you for the replies to date.
I was rather hoping that someone who actually had one of these tunnels would be in touch.
any body know anybody with one?
cheers all the same/
