Just got an old lever controlled McHale static wrapper. Seems simple enough, 2 hydraulic pipes and 3 levers on the machine. Only way to get use of the levers on the machine is too wedge/hold the lever in the tractor forward. Is there something I'm missing as there is no way of locking spool lever in tractor in this position? Tractor is a case cx100.
Manual has gone walkabout so advice needed. Tia

Have you put the return pipe into a free flow return coupling in the backend of tractor? Yes the spool lever needs to be either wedged or locked in constant pump position

Is there a wee thumbwheel thing to lock the spool off? if there is then put lever in float & turn it the other way & it will only let it back to the down position, have to put the pipes in the other way but thats how it works in an MX, assume yours the same?

Long time since I last drove a cx100 but I thought the spool valve levers could be locked into constant pump? Difficult to describe but isn't there something like a wheel set into the side console, behind the spool valve lever, that when turned limits the movement of the lever?
