McHale fusion vario

Cut a long story short, bought the above from a dealer a couple of years ago, 2 years old but with very low bale count.Dealer (not the nearest to us, but baler fitted the bill) said McHale would look after us as baler had done so little.
Had problem with box first season, sorted out with minimal delay.
Had nightmare weekend, taken 2 days to do 150 ish bales. McHale say contact dealer it was bought from, they don't answer the phone.
Local dealer are semi helpful as we didn't have it off them,( but didn't have what we wanted at the time) but don't really want to come out although I would probably purchase a new one off them when the time comes so a little short sighted in my opinion.
So I have 60 acres of grass still down and someone else coming to bale it tomorrow and still waiting for supplying dealer to get back to me after McHale contacted them!(They have tried once but not returned any of my 3 return calls)
On a plus note our friendly JD rep rang me back within half an hour whilst on holiday to offer me their demo baler tomorrow.
When equipment costs so much money is it too much to ask for a little back up? I don't expect miracles on a Sunday but we don't work 9 till 5, 5 days a week.

Have spoken to McHale guy, he's sorting it with dealer and someone is coming in the morning and dealer has also been in touch since as well. It's just very frustrating when there doesn't seem to be any system in place and your stuck in a field with a broken machine and no one gets back to you or answers the phone even if it's to say we can't come right now but we'll be there first thing.

Duck bill which feeds the net in seems intermittent resulting in net being pulled down round the feed rotor, net won't stop running if it does make it into the chamber. Changed net brands, altered net brake, tried different routes to thread the net. Nothing seems to work. Done about 50 bales all day:(

If you manually pressure door closed does the net feed plate come back to position? If so possibly try closing door manually then crack pipes on the door ram slightly. possibly some air in ram causing it not to move back maby as door not fully closing hydraulic circuit? Just a long shot. Is it a new tractor on bailer this year or same as last year?

Same tractor, had a v660 prior to this. Net wrapper is different if I remember correctly. I also see newer vario's with a different set up so like you say probably had plenty of issues if they've changed it.
Net feed plate comes back fine, problem is getting it in to begin with

I've a 15 v660 If it's dropping net into the rotor is the moving roller swinging back into place to kick the net into the chamber? if it's the same as v660? The wee duckbill thing that rides up to cut the net I wore out the shaft that drives it but that took 20000 ish bales to do it

This has done about 14k bales. No one turned up at all today. Been on phone to supplying dealers mechanic, tried several suggestions, no luck. :scratchhead:
Good news is local JD dealer have lent me a demo tractor and baler and with some help from a fellow contractor everything is now baled and wrapped(y)

Does the netter look like this or is it the older type that has several bars to run it round?
