Mchale Fusion wrapper ring drive rollers

Has anybody had to replace the rubber drive rollers that drive the wrapper ring on a Mchale Fusion?

Mine have worn smooth so I think it’s time to replace them.

Is there a way of holding the wrapper ring up to take its weight off them to allow them to be removed?

Should not matter if they are smooth. A bottle jack under the ring and push it up is the simplest.

If you were having trouble with friction it will be another reason.

How many bales?

If you have a tele you can lift from the top & then pull the bottom back, top ones are spring loaded & the wrapping ring is designed to breakaway if needed, I've had to put it back in a few times due to wet ground.

No issue just don’t want to have a stop in the season.
The only reason I’m thinking of changing them is they have worn smooth so I’m thinking they are worn out.

Have you worn a set smooth and had no bother afterwards?

Yes. My old baler is on about 80k bales now.

The motors and ring are well contacted under the pressure provided by the top keepers. If you have a bad bale/problem the ring will slip on the drive motors as it is meant too.

Certainly replace the rubber if you wish too however.
