Looking for peoples experiences with these two balers. Mchale V6750 and Kuhn VB7160.
Bale weights and density?
Good and bad things?
Currently have Kuhn 3160 how much more density are they getting out of a VB 7160?
Thanks.

You really want to consider the McHale V6760 if comparing to a Kuhn VB7160, the V6760 is Isobus as standard and would have increased density over the V6750.

I'm intrigued as to what's different to give more density?

Isobus isn't all it's cracked up to be I had a used baler on demo recently and it was constantly disconnecting and re connecting and they think it was a issue talking between different manufacturers I also spoke to a kuhn engineer and he said kuhn and case have issues communicating via isobus at times .

ISOBUS machines use different pressure/angle sensors which read in milliamps giving greater accuracy and smaller increments. Also different tensioner arm rams on the V6760. Those 2 combined with software improvements all help improve density.

It’s good for functionality and allows more communication with the tractor but yes, it’s not fool proof. Usually it will be slow to boot up or throw up alarms if there are communication issues. If it loses connection periodically, 9 times out of 10 it’s the Isobus plug connection between implement and tractor. Have seen this many times on Kuhn machines and they have changed plugs a few times from metal to plastic. Not so bad on the tractors that the plug latches down and holds the implement plug in and has the support for the cable.

I know the kuhn 7160 is a lot heavier built baler than the 3160 it also has a different set up for appling the pressure for bale density two heavier duty rams and springs as opposed to two smaller rams and a single spring. The geometry they work is different too.
They're a fair baler got the best intake design on the market and one of the best netting systems too.
