Meadow Brome

We have a problem on one area of land where meadow Brome is proving difficult to control. All chemical control in wheat, autumn and spring applied has been poor (not tried Avadex). This year oil seed rape is growing and things looked good through the winter following two graminicides and Kerb but now the Brome has started growing again, easy to detect in thinner areas but also there under the canopy. Land has been min tilled for the last 2 years and ploughed the year before that. My intention was to min till or direct drill a winter wheat crop this autumn but now thinking maybe too bigger risk ?

We have no livestock and no intentions to start but I do agree grass would be a good way forward. Around £100/ acre to rent out grazing land doesn't seem very attractive with fields to fence etc. We already have a mid tier CSS running till 2025 and I don't think you can add to it or have two schemes running from one unit or 2 year herbal ley may have been an option ?

Any body sprayed it early may to realy stunt it and make the seeding late then whole crop as crop would be ready to chop but the brome seeds would not be viable?
