Where is a good place to get decent measuring tools? Need some decent tools for angles etc. Also what handy bits of kit do people use for setting up work for welding etc.

if you have the space make up a solid table out of 8-12mm sheet (bigger if needed, ie two sheets together) with a 2x2" hg box along one long side and one short side thats square but dont let them join at the angle, leave them short so you can tack your workpiece, clamp anything to the box ribs and at least you have one set 90dg angle in it and work from there.
i use a few beta squares that wont put the light out price wise and are 100% for work like that.
the likes of the adjust o square magnets are handy no doubt and times id use them but they wouldnt necessarily be my go to items either, times id just tack the item to the table when id have it set and nip it off when the time comes.
a good bandsaw with angle function ill be your best friend after that, get one if you do where the saw blade can angle and not the work, thats just a pita.

+1 on what was said about ebay, be choosy and buy the odd , really good UK brands, they were to die for in their day and now, sadly, people flog the old boys tools for nowt. Real bargains to be got and a pleasure to own.....IMHO anyway.
I find if you look forward to using something really nice you often make a better job- probably just 'coz i'm laxy.
Richard.

I'd say Mitutoyo take a bit of beating too.

Mitutoyo very good, the small digital squares are fine as well. When welding tend to use squares as the distortion will drive you mad if you try using digital! Have a welding table that weighs 1.5t best thing in the workshop, bessy clamps look great although haven’t ‘invested’ in any yet, I should get a few and just use cheapies when need more. Screw fix do a good set of steel rules, weld spatter tends to stick to them so just get replaced as needed

I don't like Mitutoyo sorry. I have square's that aren't square and will not buy anything of there's. Much better with More and Wright, old off ebay.
I use a big DECA 1257-10 Facom square which is very good when working with box
Carver clamps and Kan't Twist clamps if you need long reach. Digital just dose my head in, a good spirit level would be my choice. I use a sliding 12" combination square sometimes but mostly a good heavy engineers square. I also have some 50mm x 4mm engineering steel flat cut in 1mt lengths as a straight edge.
Good luck. Tim
