Measuring out of IBC’s

Everyone . . .
Glypho was the first product we ever saw in IBCs over 20 years ago
In fact, “glypho” is the first thing that enters my mind whenever I see an empty shuttle ( IBC ), it is that entrenched in my memory

Staggered that IBCs for glypho in Britain are difficult to obtain.
Here in Canada 1000lt totes are the standard I would say with 450lt shuttles, 105lt barrels and still for small users 2x10lt in cardboard also available, although not all brands are available in all sizes. It sort of bugs me that the really competitive stuff all comes direct from China.
We use a ‘Sotera’ brand transfer pump for glypho and other chems from tote to handler/mixer powered by 12v from sprayer batteries. The flowmeter attached has quit this fall after about 6 years so currently post-harvest glypho is less accurate using just the graduation marks on chemhandler.

yeah, 1000 l is pretty much standard here for glypho in the grain / cotton areas
20 l would be in the minority here

I once dropped a full 1000 l shuttle of glypho, from a height of a metre

it deformed the outer metal cage

that’s all . . .

they are very tough. The biggest problem is the sunlight breaks down the plastic after a few years, if you are repurposing the old shuttles
The UN rating of an IBC means that it should survive a 1m drop onto its corner.

Twice.

We get motif one ibcs this year. Saves ones back. Just been dropping a pipe in which is probably very frowned upon so will be buying an ad blue type ibc pump for it.

I use old ones for moving water around, and they certainly don’t like the pallet fork going through them. Guess if it had £2500 worth of glyphosate in it I might be a bit more careful.
