Not into posh gardens (we have our own at home) we avoided Victoria, rightly or wrongly.
We loved Tofino / Ucluelet... Wolf in the Fog was the place in Tofino....back nearer topic...me mostly self-caterered and had no disappointments with std AAA grass fed beef...of which we ate a heap.

I've got the cap to prove it, Wolf In The Fog, personally I prefer camping to hotels, Victoria by default as I tend to avoid towns and cities, sometime you just need to know where to go and Victoria is one of few cities that I don't mind going too.
Allegedly , my brother has said that I have to go back to Tofino as I didn't go to 1909 Kitchen

perhaps Adam Henson might be given the opportunity to partially redress the huge imbalance on Countryfile....you would have thought that maybe he's jumping up and down to be given the chance.After all the female presenter is colleague on the same programme...I could go on......suffice to say that my fandom of said Mr Henson is declining rapidly.(LOVELY to see the immaculate new buildings,sheep and cattle handling equipment all shiny bright with makers name prominent etc etc....does this I sometimes wonder to myself fall into the category of 'hard earnt'...know what I mean....

Last month it was Dutch farmers in the Hague after dutch administration floated an idea about halving numbers of esp intensively farmed animals.
The other day it was Berlin
Today it's 1000 tractors in Paris...farm leaders demanding a private meeting with Macron...etc.

Common themes uniting all these include
- hugely biased anti farming / anti meat reportage in national media, fuelled by emotion and the worst quack science
- Physical attacks on anyone from butchers (France) to the kids of conventional farmers while attending high school (Germany, especially the rabid green south - Bravaria / Stuttgart area )

Yes overall Nicola was the most impressive. The Unions biggest problem is that she is sharp as a razor, very well briefed across the board, and highly articulate.
Alan Price, Plaid Cymru, gets the specific farmer vote for being adamant that agriculture had to be worked with rather than against, that meat was not the problem, and that UK food for UK people had to be the way forward.

I’m currently in Argentina, have been looking at farms and soya processing. Currently in wonderful Patagonia.
There is no danger of Red Meat going out of fashion here just yet. Every night the steaks get better and Assado cooked lamb is to die for.
Nearly all of the beef is finished on grazing at about 14 months old at for us a light weight.
The soya production is highly sustainable on land that has been farmed for well over a century and 90% is no tilled.
Very impressive indeed.
