Why not just switch it off or watch something else?

The fact that C4 and the BBC keep pushing the vegan agenda without balance suggests a manipulation of viewers that goes way beyond the prejudices of rogue programme producers. So what is informing this movement, why do the obviously feel they are pushing at an open door, what is the purpose of it all?

It's been noted that C4 have interests that may conflict with unbiased reporting, but that doesn't explain why they feel at liberty to keep promoting the vegan cause Could it be that the monitoring of social media, messaging apps, emails and, dare I say it, Alexa, is suggesting that the population is receptive to these ideas if presented in a certain way? It would appear to be a classic propaganda feedback loop that excludes the right of reply or presentation of alternative arguments. But hey, it's technology innit, gotta be good!

I am watching how the NFU responds to this and will decide wether to renew my membership next time on its reaction.
They should be making formal complaints about the misleading and one sided content of these vegan propaganda programs and putting pressure on the levy boards to counter it with our own. As a member it is the least I expect and the large amount of money collected by levies should be spent exclusively on promoting the livestock sector and growing our market share. I would have no problem paying the levy if I saw decent advertising for British meat and it’s positive contribution to the rural landscape and environment on television, billboards, radio etc instead of the rubbish that comes through the letter box in the form of better returns leaflets. Have they noticed that the more we have increased production and become more efficient the smaller our margins become? Meanwhile meat sales per person decline and the supermarket shelves are full of foreign product.

It wouldn't suprise me that a lot of tv producers and directors have vegan inclinations. No doubt they live in the "Islington Bubble"
in which you will find a lot of people who feel they know better than us, as to how we should run our lives. During the green demonstrations
in London, last year, one newspaper commentator pointed out that these people failed to see the irony of, one day joining in the demo, and
the next, flying off for a long weekend on the continent.

Here’s an idea, bus tours for television and radio workers to livestock farms starting with a full English at the White Horse in Fulham and touring two or three beef and lamb producers at the top of their game in terms of welfare and environment. Followed by a slap up lunch of 100% British food and drink. Maybe a couple of breeders and a finisher, show the whole chain. Cost, peanuts.

All i know is, most viewers that watch this stuff will believe it. Why would,t they. The problem is, there is no one on the other side of the fence contradicting whats being said. Its a one way street.

Watched the last 10 minutes and was very surprised that the family took a pragmatic view....

- THEY CHOSE TO EAT THE CHICKENS! ?
If nothing else it was a very good advert for *ethical* meat eating, should be good for well reared grass fed and traceable local butcher meat trade.

And in the programme that followed MONBIOT the militant VEGAN shot and killed a deer.
Jeez Oh!, it was like the 'killing fields' on channel 4 last night...
