MEKRA Lang, your global expert and partner for indirect vision, will be presenting innovative vision solutions for all types of agricultural machinery at the Agritechnica 2019 from 10 November in Hanover.

The partner for safety

From the initial idea to full system integration, MEKRA Lang is at the side of manufacturers to increase safety on and off the road for drivers and road users. From innovative mirrors to state-of-the-art assistance systems to completely digital all-round visibility and mirror replacement systems, there are no limits to MERKA Lang's portfolio.

Innovative mirror solutions
Constant improvement and unsurpassed quality are the hallmarks of MEKRA Lang mirror systems. Individually adaptable, they provide reliable support for the driver in all driving situations. The combination of mirrors with different holding systems offers manufacturers the possibility of a specialized application on each vehicle type.

Innovative improvements expand the view of the classic mirror. By integrating configurable camera modules, for example, the module mirror 1009 can be used to ergonomically increase the field of vision for the driver.

Thanks to the highly resistant construction of the mirror and holding systems, the use of end products is possible even under the most adverse environmental conditions.

Ergonomic assistance
Vehicles always grow with their tasks, but the overview is so much smaller for drivers than before. At this point, MEKRA Lang uses a portfolio of modern environment detection systems that can support drivers.

In the case of the cross camera monitor system (Q-KMS), flexible and legally compliant monitoring of cross traffic is made possible with cameras that can be used flexibly on the vehicle. Installed in rugged enclosures, they provide insight into hard-to-see intersections at the push of a button, replacing the guide.

Thanks to advanced radar technology, the new turn-off assistant AAS 1312 detects moving road users in a poorly visible 12m x 6m area when turning right on the passenger side. The AAS, which has been available for retrofitting since April 2019, is convincing with its uncomplicated installation due to the granted ABE and the test victory in the ADAC comparison test.

Digital all-round view
In areas that are hardly or not at all visible with mirror systems, MEKRA Lang's new digital surround view system extends the view around the vehicle and optimally complements the mirror systems. The combination of advanced touch monitors and various digital cameras to meet the requirements of the vehicle creates an all-round visibility system that can react to the driving situation in a variable manner by triggering various vehicle signals. For example, switch to the side camera when the AAS is alarmed, or automatically switch to full-screen rear-view camera when reversing.

The mirror of the future
With the Digital Vision System (DVS), which is currently already successfully used on trucks on the road, MEKRA Lang 2018 has initiated the future of indirect vision: innovative camera modules with ergonomically positioned screens replace the classic exterior mirrors. At DVS, MEKRA Lang has brought in its many years of expertise in the realization of unique mirror systems and applied them to the design of the digital mirror of the future. Due to the adapted image processing software of the HDR cameras, optimum image representation is possible in all driving situations and environmental conditions. The functional protection of the DVS offers the driver reliable functionality through self-monitoring of hardware and software.
