Some do come across too aggressively and I can see why people are put off posting.
I had a bit of a do on the beef and sheep tracker yesterday. Totally misinterpreted but could of easily led to grief.

People can come and go if they want.ive had a bit of abuse over my permitted devolopment post but lots of encouragement and support too.it will allways happen.also found some people have no sense of humour either but that's up to them.im staying anyway
Nick...
sorry to here that @nick... after all the trouble you went to post those pictures on the permitted development thread i found it helpful and inspiring and the fact you were rewarded for all your efforts and hard work clearly dont sit well with some

You get the same things happen irrespective of the core forum subject.
Its not the people, its the fact that social media exposes you to the very same folk you would "cross the road to avoid".
On the various platforms available its like they are sat in your front room/office/workplace/personal space pestering you with their unwanted interaction.
Block them, educate them, debate with them...but............ if its getting to you....... move on or cross the virtual road. Most people are actually alright and life is short........

Dead right, a forum is as much an "organism" as a farm is, or a rumen is, you simply cannot reduce the bad bits only encourage the good bits.

Sorry, to all the vets and agronomists I have slated in the past 14 months :D

people do just come and go, have other stuff going on etc

i know how they feel ! recent bias and agenda on social media and tv ( especially twitter). is so toxic that frankly your life is just better without it

don’t feel particularly motivated or inclined to post a lot myself

Yes, wasn’t going to start my own ‘Where’s Wally’ thread hence digging this one up. I guess I miss some of the quieter non-confrontational voices in here.
