Well we're off

Should we be allowed to discuss it in polling hours (TFF media Purdah?)

Interesting

Was at the Polling Station just as it opened

One smaller than A3 portrait voting form

All the tick boxes to the right with the party with all the candidates listed. So you have no chance of voting for your chosen candidate as such

Results won't be in until Monday, so I guess there will be an inside word to TM Friday and the grey suits may visit her then?

Voting later.
So, as I understand it, one votes for a party rather than a named individual, and the assorted parties have listed their candidates in a ranking order, so top name on the list gets the first seat etc?
We have 7 MEP seats to fill in East Anglia.

Who would vote for an international version of their chosen party?

In 7 EU countries I believe it is an option in these elections.

It seems like a good idea but I wonder if it would make the voice of your own nation stronger or weaker.

I'm inclined to think the current situation where national parties form coalitions is probably more democratic.

Posted our ballot papers back a couple of weeks back. But have they been counted or flung into the channel by arch Brexiteer Peter Lilly's dodgy IBOX postal and vote counting company.

I would love to know why you vote for a British MEP rather than a French one,if you don't mind me asking. I assume it's circumstance rather than choice?

Bon question, we vote here, have done for years. Only Local and EU elections though, not entitled to vote in French nationals as not citizens.

Just left the polling station having spoilt my ballot paper.

Returning officer said it was the quietest Election Day he had ever known, even quieter than our locals the other month.

No good spoiling papers as never gets anywhere.
People be complaining never had choice to vote , or old people dictating for young , too close to call etc etc and all other reasons their voice was'nt heard then also,?
