New to us machine. Not sure what everything does. The red key in the top right, the orange button and the warning lights (obviously I know some)
Anybody care to enlighten me.

Also should there be a buzzer on the handbrake on?

Red key turn hydaulics on/off
Turning it full clockwise turns safety lockout off, this may or maynot stay turned when you let go , depending on age of machine.
Machine will be more drivable if key does stay put fully clockwise, but arguably less safe.

Yellow button retracts boom when machine is in lockout.

Our 32.6 has handbrake buzzer but this only sounds if you get off the seat when in neutral,. Oddly it stays silent if you get out with F or R selected. Not that it matters machine goes to neutral when you lift off the seat, you then have to select N then F(R) to proceed, a strange quirk , this is with F R buttons on joystick.

I think mid left warning is air filter, bot left water temp
top right expansion tank water level
Botton right oil pressure

Looks like your hare tortoise daol is snapped off, leave switch below flocked to left and it wont matter.

You can flick switch right and turn the dail to alter the hydro speed ratio if required . I never use that feature

Excellent, thanks, that clears a few things up. So effectively if the key is turned clockwise, it wont ever lock out?

Bit worried with the handbrake. Someone will drive with ot on. It is illuminated but can hardly see in daylight.

Ahh, I was aware of the hare/tortoise thing and have been told it's a rarely used feature.

Thanks for the identifications 👍

Few other things.
Where is the hydraulic oil tank located? I'm guessing it behind the cab?
Where is the hydrostatic oil tank and what oil does it take? 46?

The top warning light is the water tank expansion bottle?

🙂

You are correct hydraulic tank is behind the cab the filter is inside the tank submerged in the oil The tank for the hydro transmission looks the same as a coolant header tank . Be carefull not to get them mixed up . Use a good quality 46 grade oil

You are telling me that your machine doesn’t have a manual?

No one reads them😂

Had 2 different customers today ask me what oil goes in transmission and how to check it. Ones owned theres from new and it's a 2001, and the other customer I sold machine secondhand with a manual about 7 years ago.

You would think after all this time they would know where transmission oil goes and wot not😂🙈👍

Eeeeerrrrm no, they use my dad’s philosophy of filling with fuel when gauge is empty, topping up hydraulic oil when the boom wont reach the top, topping up transmission when it won’t get up to the top of the yard and topping up the coolant when the heater stops working. We won’t mention when folk put clean engine oil in seized engines.........

Unbelievable. They must be richer than me
