Merlo multifarmer 30.2 error code 56

Can anyone help with a merlo multifarmer 30.2 with an error code 56..
we had a fault where everything was running when the ignition was one.. lights, wipers, horn, reverse bleeper, starter engagement etc.. found an earth fault on the main chassis earth bank which has stopped everything running but we still have error 56 and the machine won’t start.. and oil pressure and battery are showing a fault on the main dash test.. how ever if you disconnect the alternator light wire and oil pressure switch it clears the listed fault on the dash but still won’t start and error 56 still shows..

Error 56 is open circuit for handbrake solenoid. Shouldn’t stop starting. Does it start with safety bypass key turned over?

Does it crank but not fire?

Hi no won’t crank.. I powered the starter but just turns over.. the chap just checked the switch but that hasn’t made any difference

Is battery good? Won’t crank if low voltage or bad battery

I have noticed a slight voltage drop to the main panel etc. Showing 12.6 volts at battery but 11.6 volts at alternator battery light wire.

Maybe try jumping it off van or another vehicle just an easy thing to rule out

We have done that but made no difference.. need to get the boom up to check the wiring on the park brake solenoid etc
