16 plate 42.7, 5200 hours, extremely tidy condition.

17 plate 42.7, 2700 hours, tidy condition new tyres.

The 16 plate is ours we are thinking of moving on as we only run one machine hence the hours. The rest are all poa and I’d like an idea before ringing up.

POA is always creates mistrust - why are they POA? 1. It is a part exchange that they gave the customer loads for but they had a big margin so do not want to disclose what they can let it go for - a lot less than they paid. 2. They gave too much for it fighting off the competition so it is way too expensive. 3, If they get a Part exchange they can load it up to keep you farmers happy. 4, It's all a game - everybody thinks their part exchange is worth more than it is, that's human nature - as depreciation is now the new buzz word - go and change your car of HGV - no games there - they will tell you its true vale - there is the door if don't like it! It's not all helped by the farm machinery crazy retail prices - but higher depreciation is here to stay - as regards to Telehandler uK - well presented and service history - a very successful business brought about by hiring specialist TH to the industrial market for over 20 yrs, their prices I have seen do not relate to market value - how do they keep finding customers to pay their prices - I certainly can not find any.
In the future I wonder who is going to pay 20k plus for a 10,000 hr Telehandler that's worn throughout after years of hard Agricultural use? but lower hours older machines are now rare as the UK have exported all the good ones with a weak domestic market and weak pound - maybe as farms get larger and farmers numbers continue to shrink it will all sort itself out.

POA is a con so I was just looking for an idea that’s all. I’ve no idea what the prices are as I’ve not made a call due to the poa. I won’t bother asking again.

Unfortunately there is no Glasses Guide for TH, and there is a vast variation between values for the same model depending on hours, tyres, mechanical condition etc, so the best exercise is to value yours is to say you are packing up and ring 3 Merlo Dealers and ask what they would value to buy in on a straight buy, that gives you some true value as to what its worth to the trade before they put on a margin to Retail it. The advertised prices on Mascus and others can be way off trade value so do not be mislead by advertised prices which give you hope!

68 plate 3-140-CVTronic, 300 hours ‘as new’ immaculate condition.

Since everyone else is only going to criticise...

As a rough estimate,
68 plate - 6-7k below the price of a new one (no idea what they cost).
16 plate - 31-33k
17 plate - 41-43k
17 plate (assuming its still a 42.7) - 40-41k.

I'll chip in - not a Merlo man - if the 68 plate is towards 18 months - 2 yrs old - must be demonstrator with those low hours - if its an 2018 built plate I would say 10 k less than new net price - it will always be 2 yrs old when you come to sell it so it will be valued then as a 68 plate regardless of hours.
16 plate high hours trade 30k
17 plate 40k trade
