I enabled it and then soon got fed up with phone going off every time someone replied to a thread I was watching (which is what push notifications do) so now found how to change settings and just get them when someone messages me or tags me (not very often).

Can't stand push notifications on Chrome.....just gets in the way popping up on bottom right of screen.

Quite liked the old TFF method though where it subtly appeared. Current TFF V2 you need to refresh page to see if you have any notifications.

Can somebody explain what this is means before I click something I shouldn't.

The Farming Forum would like your permission to enable push notifications.

See this post - up to you if you want to turn them on or not - some love them, others hate them

We are testing that feature at the moment - it significantly increases sever load and slows the site but we are working on a fix

Wheat harvest kind of got in the way !

In layman terms - "push" notifications on TFF are the (automatically appearing) little red "badges" that appear over the "bell". When push is working they simply appear on their own and usually count up (or down if you click into it) the notifications that you have for replies, quotes, tags, likes etc etc.

At the moment "push" doesn't work on TFF - so you have to manually refresh the web page to see them, which isn't as nice as when they worked in the past like TFF v1.

Pop up windows are a whole other category of shitness that most people (correctly) associate with ads or surveys or crap like that. Pop up are generally blocked by most decent browsers now anyways....

In my profile settings, 'push notfications' are ticked, which I'm quite certain I didn't agree to, but just this morning I have had a message asking would like 'push notfications'.

So there's some weird sh!t going on somewhere.
