Best wrap up then as it's coming, very interesting charts being produced currently. Hope you've got a decent snow plough!
Which charts do you think are the best ones, and are they free? They are still not 100% certain for the end of next week.Down to -5C and a few inches of snow,we can cope with. -10C,windy,and a foot of snow, thats when it causes problems.

I just go on the Netweather forum, stick in the Model discussion section, they use all the charts freely available, there are links re which ones and when they are released. Be warned though some are pretty hard core chart followers and over analyze every nuance shown but I do find it gives a good overview of what to expect, useful in summer and winter.
Seems they have all thrown their toys out of the pram this morning because one of the charts is not showing snowmaggeden!! (a regular occurrence!!) But their are some very good posters on there, Steve Murr is very often spot on, a very balanced view amongst the masses! And over time you will identify others who are also very good posters.
I just follow the discussion not an avid chart follower and then when the weather gets tasty I tend to pop into the regional threads (much friendlier, less geeky) and tend to be more topical for your given area.

I look at Netweather but just for the week ahead, day by day,and the 10 day one,but i dont find it very accurate.Often if i try and make some hay, check 10 day ahead and no rain.Cut said grass, then check the 10 day forecast again, and find its completely changed. Will have to get more up to speed with the chart models, there is a hell of a lot to look at.

the reason i find the phone weather apps useless
the 10 day is a dreamy creamy sugary forecast that will change more than kylies costumes at a concert

Still way above freezing, and still raining here. Looks a bit colder for the start of Feb, I'll believe it when I see it though.
