The Eutectic booklet mentioned above says, "Regardless of the extent of your problem or the size of your order your local technical representative is always available to give prompt on the spot technical assistance". It's an old book but might be worth trying the number 01890 5571. If that doesn't work, try Google.

Steel , not cast , welded joints then heat treated i believe. ( according to importer , wamsler German).
I have patched it before with mild steel plate and dissimilar rods but it was more luck than owt , vertical, pillark to get water tight. Hence i don't want to blow my pin pr*ck into a big hole.
Would not be simple to turn over for down hand.

Obviously its fooked but last chance bodge.

Started last time with mig ,thread on here ,i didn't link because it make me look like a fool as ive left it and now gone again. The mig didn't seem to penetrant, i believe due to the heat treatment process.

Hence dissimilar rods as the repair mild steel and the parent are not the same eh.
But have to add , chest puffed out , that this is different side to my patch .
Luckily weather is kind and have a immersion for dhw.
