I live in Stamford Lincolnshire so looking for farmers willing to Give me permission in Lincolnshire/cambridgeshire area. I'm a member of the national council of metal detecting and have liability insurance cover with them, I will always respect your land and leave it how I found it and respect any wishes by the landowner. I always abide by the metal detecting code of coduct, treasure act 1996 and countryside code. I will split the value of any treasures finds equally with the landowner and can provide a agreement form to fill out and provide details of my insurance memebership number. Please get in touch if you are willing to grant permissions. Thanks for reading and look forward to any replies

No thanks.... looking after our lot is enough for me thanks!
Its better to get out and meet the farmers face to face...... the majority are good judges of character and you`ll know within a few minutes how you`ll get on.
Think of it this way.......Would you let a group of 30/40 strangers wander around your house & garden??
Then add in parking as well as "what ifs" and its easy to see why access for groups is difficult.
Good luck on the quest......MMDC give "landfinders" commission don`t they??

I'm new to the hobby of metal detecting and new to MMDC I'm just looking for permissions for my self and fellow members of the club I'm Not sure on commission. Iv never been metal detecting with my own detector yet so just trying different ways to try get permissions from kind people. I can understand that people may think we will leave holes or leg it if we find treasure but not all people are like that. People who do the hobby properly respect the people who are giving permission and the land there searching on. Im going to send out some letters and knock on some local farmers doors too. I'm mainly asking for myself not a big group that's why I put you may be interested to learn about the club :) thanks for your opinions :)

Firstly thankyou for the add. You've properly heard this many times before, I've just taken up the hobby of metal detecting, I took it up since finishing the fire service 2 years ago with my future son in law. Like all that have taken up the hobby its very hard to find farmers to let out on there land, which I can see why as there are alot of detectorst that course alot of damage but not all, if there are anyone on here that could point me in any direction in which I may find permission I'd be so grateful as at my wits end many thanks Kevin
