Metcalfe tines on a Simba Miniflow

Anyone had any experience of the Metcalfe low disturbance coulters on a freeflow/miniflow? I have a freeflow with weaving sabre tines which is an awesome bit of kit but I want to drill even later for the blackgrass so wondering about a miniflow-does anyone know if the coulter holes in the leg are the same on a miniflow leg as a freeflow one? I ‘think’ they are as I’m sure people used to put miniflow coulters on a freeflow leg (?) I dropped in to metcalfes stand at cereals yesterday and he wasn’t 100% sure. Nice Coulter though and a million times less work than converting to weaving again for more or less the same effect

Are you using it direct or into a cultivated situation?

My sabre tine freeflow always goes into cultivated seedbeds and I would envisage the metcalfe/miniflow to do the same. The exception being osr which I tend to dd into baled stubble which works quite well but with csfb we are having a break for a year to see what happens. I really rate the sabre tine/freeflow combination; it’s never let me down I just want to be able to drill a little later should conditions allow. Cultivations wise I have a McConnell discaerator and a galucho toptilth for cereals. If I can I’ll just use the disco but if it’s really dry the toptilth smashes some clods. I don’t like discs/anything pto powered as a cultivation tool so limit their use whenever possible
