Just fitted 24 to the Freeflow ready to
chip in some OSR direct into the stubble.
Am I missing something, but this is as low as the seed tube will go. Is this ok, wasn’t planning on going very deep with the coulters, but looks like I may have to go deeper than planned [emoji848]

Bracket on seed tube looks too far down. look different on JJ website.

I've got the horsch version, and just leave the seed tubes as high as possible for every crop. Never had a problem with seed not in the slot, and while the tubes do still wear, presumably it's better than if I had them lower.

Been in touch and for the Horsch they say it works as you say, but afraid on the Freeflow its not, so they are making me another batch of seed tubes, which I thought was very good of them (y)

I'll either look like a complete idiot or it will work better ;)

Got my metcalfs on, tried it on some stubble. Bugger me! no one mentioned all the dirt and stones pinging up from the tines on dry firm soil. Nearly had the back window out. Will hang some perspex over back window.

What speed are you doing? We fine they work much better at slower speeds.

Keep your speed down to 8-9 kph it’s a steady job only up to 12-14 on good moist ground,on cultivated yes 18-20 the world is your oyster, you have to look at what you are doing zorilla is smart thinking Farming.you are only going over it once so do it right.?

Did you get your depth control sorted? How shallow did you manage to drill in the end?
